Winter Conference 2020: Reflective Writing

11 December 2020

Participants brainstormed and discussed ways to use reflective and metacognitive writing for a variety of purposes: to bolster students’ thinking, to help them critically examine their strengths and the gaps in their knowledge, to help instructors gain a better understanding of their diverse perspectives, and to build community in the classroom.  To spark the conversation, George shared some preliminary results from a pilot reflective writing curriculum developed in seven A&I sections this fall.
