This session was a discussion about ways that our departments and divisions can better support individual and collective work toward making Carleton a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable place. The majority of our time was spent in small-group discussions to identify tangible ways our departments can support IDE work and the barriers to such efforts that are currently in place. We hope to engage faculty and staff (in both academic and non-academic roles) in a discussion that helps us all understand the opportunities and challenges that exist across the College and think about both individual and department-level ways to approach important IDE efforts.
