The Carleton calendar moves incredibly fast, and courses cover a great deal of materials in a short time span. Students who get behind are often ashamed to admit it, and they sometimes continue to struggle because they don’t ask for help. What are some early interventions that colleagues use to help catch students before they fall too far behind? What are some best practices for how advisors, faculty members, and the Dean of Students Office can all work together to help students get help early in the term? In addition to hearing from panelists, participants will also have the chance to discuss scenarios that often arise and approaches for handling particular situations.
