Apr. 30, 2019: Academic Reading in the Digital Age

2 May 2019

Current realities mean that students will likely read in many formats, digital and otherwise, as they do their course work. With this in mind, what are the affordances of digital reading? What are the challenges and what are the advantages of digital reading and reading on the printed page? Can we identify best practices in teaching and learning with these different formats? The four panelists will bring their disciplinary research and perspectives to the complex question of how best to guide students toward successful reading practices in this increasingly digital age.

Panelists:
Iris Jastram, Instructional Librarian
