New Faculty Workshop

The New Faculty Workshop is an opportunity to reconnect with new faculty colleagues, discuss effective practices with other Carleton faculty and staff, and reflect on your teaching experience at Carleton so far. The workshop will include presentations about such topics as Universal Design for Learning, designing effective assignments, handling difficult classroom moments, and working with important campus programs.

For most participants, the Teaching Showcase is the highlight of the workshop.  Everyone has the opportunity to “micro-teach” a short sample class presentation which will allow you to share teaching ideas across disciplines and see a wide range of effective strategies in action.

Victoria Morse, Director of the Learning and Teaching Center, will moderate this workshop.
