LTC Targeted Audience Lunch - The Invisible Curriculum and First-Generation Students
At the LTC session on February 1, we heard how first-gen, low-income students experience Carleton and how we can support them through advising and mentoring. What can the faculty do in our classrooms to help these students adjust to the academic environment at Carleton? How can the academic environment change in recognition of their needs? We will discuss some short readings and brainstorm specific strategies for doing this work.
