Data Feminism Book Discussion

Thu, January 20, 2022 • 4:00pm - 5:00pm (1h) • AGH Meeting Room

This group builds off  D’Ignazio’s LACOL summer keynote about her timely 2020 book, which uses an intersectional feminism lens to explore how and why data is collected, used, and visualized (or is missing). The book will spark theoretical discussions while offering many concrete examples.  with emphasis on data visualization, this book will also be part of the QRC's effort to focus on viz as a method of teaching quantitative reasoning.
