Syllabus and Assignment Design for Inclusive Classrooms
Research has shown that careful attention to the language used in syllabi and assignments as well as efforts to enhance transparency can have an impact on student success. In 2016-17 the LTC’s inclusive classroom faculty cohort explored some of these ideas, and this is an opportunity to expand the conversation about being transparent in our teaching and the impact that has on students’ learning and sense of belonging.
