- When Details Matter
Discussion of attention to detail in student work across disciplines. In diverse Courses from lab sciences to media production, students express frustration about being graded on “the little details” instead of “the actual work.” How can faculty effectively communicate that details are inseparable from actual work? How does being attentive to disciplinary conventions, with real-world applications, align with broader liberal arts learning goals?
