Comps Title: How we talk to ourselves: Seeking an improved analysis of anaphora
Current Employment: McClure Middle School Teacher-Librarian at Seattle Public Schools
“My linguistics background kept popping up as I completed my master’s degree in library and information science (MLIS). Linguistics taught me how to look for patterns and connections in complex data and language usage, which was helpful prior training when learning about library classification systems and people’s information-seeking behavior.
“Linguistics and librarianship are connected by information organization; in both fields, I have found it necessary to just keep asking questions and to be ready to continually make adjustments as circumstances change.”
