The Role of Language Discrimination in Mutual Exclusivity in Simultaneous Bilinguals Grace Lewis In recent studies bilingual children have been shown to not demonstrate a word-learning heuristic that has previously been thought to be extremely important in lexical acquisition. I investigate what this suggests and other possible explanations for this data that aligns better with the results we would expect. A reception will follow. All are invited!
