Ida Downwind, 2023 Elder in Residence, returns to Carleton College on Wednesday, April 26, 2023

Ida will introduce Carleton faculty, staff, and students to Indigenous ways of Making Relatives with Plants, Trees, and Water.  There will be an informal public event on Wednesday evening, 4/26, 4:30-6pm in the Larson Family Room at Weitz for a brief presentation by Ida along with facilitated group discussions of how Indigenous values align with the teachings shared around plants.  Traditional medicinal teas and hors d'oeuvres will be served.

Subsequent visits and discussions with other invited experts are forthcoming; those perspectives and areas of expertise will complement and build upon Ida's introductions. Any questions, contact ccce@carleton.edu
