The Research/IT desk is the large desk in the middle of the reference room on the 4th (main) floor of the library.
During the pandemic, chat is the fastest way to get help. For research help, chat on the lower right corner of this page 24/7. For tech help, chat on this page: go.carleton.edu/helpdesk.
If you have complex or in-depth research needs
You may also make an appointment directly with one of our reference librarians. To make an appointment, use their online appointment schedulers, call, or email. Librarians’ offices are located along west wall and southwest hallway of the 4th floor.
Reference Librarian Hours
Winter 2021 Academic Term:
Librarians will be available during the following hours by chat, phone (507-222-4264) or email (email@example.com):
- Monday–Thursday: 10am – 5pm, 7pm – 9pm
Friday: 10am – 5pm
Sunday: 1pm – 5pm, 7pm – 9pm
Summer, Winter, and Spring Breaks:
A reference librarian is on call during the following hours:
- Monday–Friday: 10 am-noon, 1 pm-4 pm
