This bilingual exhibit was curated by the students enrolled in FR303 “That’s Entertainment!” with Assistant Professor of French Katharine Hargrave in collaboration with Gould Library Special Collections and Exhibitions.
Discover new acquisitions to Special Collections in French including an almanac from 1756 and a fortune telling book from 1840. Students have studied primary sources and made creative contemporary objects in response, all of which will be on view in the exhibit. There are board games, rebus puzzles, and personality quizzes that visitors are encouraged to participate in, just to name a few.
Join us May 15th at noon in the Athenaeum! Assistant Professor of French, Katharine Hargrave, Special Collections Librarian, Jackie Beckey, and student curators will share their experiences creating contemporary responses in response primary sources they studied in Special Collections, as well as planning the exhibition on view in the library.
