Timothy Lloyd: Vessels

Mon, September 13, 2021 - Tue, August 15, 2023 • Gould Library

Timothy Lloyd, Class of 1941 Professor of Art and the Liberal Arts, Emeritus, uses various metals to create unique jewelry, medals, sculptures and vessels, and his work is widely recognized and admired in national and international art circles. His recent work in hammered and molded copper and silver vessels was inspired by visits to Japan, where he became fascinated with kettles used in the Japanese tea ceremony. Several of his kettles will be on view in this exhibit, alongside recent work in other forms.
