Public Speaking Practice Group

Thu, May 14, 2026 • 2:10pm - 2:55pm (45m) • Gould Library Athenaeum

Your expertise is valuable, but only if people pay attention!

Luckily, Public Speaking is a learned skill. You can get better at it.

Gather with other Carls working to improve their public speaking skills to try things out and grow in your ability.

This is a laboratory to experiment in, be it preparing for a presentation or simply practicing impromptu speaking in front of a group.

We won’t be following a formal curriculum, but some of the presentations will be about the craft of public speaking.

Come to talk. Come to grow. Come to support your community.

Gould Library Athenaeum. Spring Term: Thursdays 2:10-2:55 pm, Weeks 3-9.

Event Contact: Susan Shirk

Repeats weekly on Thursday: Apr 16, Apr 23, Apr 30, May 7, May 14, May 21, May 28
