Yeniter Poleo's Visit

Thu, March 2, 2023 • 4:45pm - 6:45pm (2h) • Library Athenaeum

Yeniter Poleo is a young Colombian-Venezuelan writer, independent journalist, and human rights activist. She has published two novel so far: Las costuras invisibles (2019) and La ciudad vencida (2014). She is currently working on her third novel. Her work focuses on the intersection between domestic and State violence in marginalized neighborhoods in Caracas. Her public talk and interventions in class will be orientated to this particular matter, providing us with a personal, almost ethnographical, approached to issues of gender and politics in current Venezuela.
