Due to situations surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, that Language Center will be making a few changes. This page will be updated as new information comes along.

  • Our closing hours have been modified (9 pm on most days). However, a number of classrooms in the LDC will remain open after closing until approximately midnight when security will do a sweep.
  • Don Vosburg and Fabia Dennison will mainly be working from home. Don will be coming in most days for up to two hours in the mornings (~8-10am), and working remotely the rest of the day. Student staff will be working until closing.
  • LDC 201 and 243 will remained locked during the fall term.
  • LDC 104, 244, and 335 will be locked at the same time the Language Center closes each day to ensure those spaces stay untouched for on-campus classes.
  • The remaining classrooms will be open to use for a quiet place to work. Masks and social distancing are still required, and new room capacities due to social distancing must be observed. Classroom can be reserved at Campus Scheduling, and LDC 203, 204, 221 and the new Huddle Space can be reserved with the Language Center.
  • As in the spring term, if the Antidote software is needed, please see more information here. We have web access to the software for the time being. Once enrollments are finalized, ITS will need to be contacted to be put on a list for access codes.
  • The Language Center lounge (LDC 220-223) will have a capacity of 10 total people.
  • The Language Center lounge will not have its full array of furniture in the lounge area, nor will extra furniture be available during the fall term.
  • Paper products and other office supplies will be limited to hopefully limit the spread of COVID, should any of the virus come to the LDC. Therefore you will not see much for paper products (printing paper, books, magazines, etc.), or tech equipment (ex. headsets) in the Center. Please ask a staff member for assistance with these if needed.
  • Hand sanitizer and wipes will be available throughout the building and in the Language Center. It is up to everyone to clean their workspace before and after use.
