Computational Research Users Group (CRUG) Cluster
In 2018, the college used NSF grant money to set up a small, research-focused, high-performance computing cluster, and a group of faculty and staff started the computational research user group (CRUG).

HPC Midwest
As of 2025, Macalester, Carleton, and St. Olaf are the recipients of a 2025 Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) Faculty Career Enhancement (FaCE) grant to create a process for faculty to access cloud-based High-Performance Computing (HPC).
