Outside Learning Spaces = Tents

Three reservable outdoor classrooms will again be available this term. The tents will have a whiteboard or chalkboard and a speaker/microphone; students will have chairs with lap desks. There is no other technology in the outdoor classrooms. The Weitz tents will have no permanent furnishings. Depending on the weather forecast, the tents will be erected on or around midterm—May 4. At this time, any faculty or staff member in group 1 or 2 may reserve the outdoor classrooms for any class, department/program, or group activity taking place during the second half of Spring Term, either through the EMS portal or by emailing scheduling@carleton.edu.

To share content with students, have everyone use their laptops to be connected to Zoom and share the screen.  To avoid audio feedback, make sure that students mute their Zoom microphone and the volume/microphone on their actual laptop.
