This service is available to all to Faculty, Staff, and Students of Carleton College. The ECC at Carleton is a student-staffed equipment checkout center that exists to provide short-term loans of a limited range of audio and visual equipment to patrons from the Carleton community for various incidental purposes ranging from social/club events to small AV projects outside of AV-specific courses (CAMS, Music, media-related independent studies, etc.) “Short-term” is defined as 3 or 7 days, depending on the type of equipment being borrowed, after which it must be returned to the ECC before it can be checked out again.
Equipment from the ECC is not intended to be used for significant academic, administrative, or off-campus work. Availability of equipment is never guaranteed.

The use of our equipment is free of charge.
Due to the demand for the use of our equipment and our limited stock, failure to return an item by its due date will result in a suspension of checkout privileges. Late returns may result in a temporary suspension of checkout privileges equaling the number of days late. Lost equipment, including individual parts of multi-item kits, or repeated late returns may result in permanent suspension of checkout privileges.
Responsibilities for Loaner Equipment Checkout: PEPS strives to keep all of its equipment in good working order. When checking out a piece of equipment, you agree to use it carefully and to return it in full working condition and with all of the accessory equipment including SD cards and cables, if any. This ensures that it remains in good shape for the next person. If you experience any problems with the equipment, please let us know.
At the time of checkout, PEPS will go over the equipment and related accessories with you. When returned, the equipment will once again be inspected by PEPS in your presence. In the case of missing or damaged equipment, you will be monetarily responsible for replacement or repair.
