
What is TechAlert?
Get alerted about Information Technology service disruptions by signing up for our Carleton Technology Alerts. This service enables us to provide you with critical information regarding Carleton’s technology systems such as Moodle, Colleague, WiFi and others.
You will receive time-sensitive messages wherever you specify, such as your text messages, email addresses, and more. You pick where, you pick how.
Is it related to CarlAlert?
We use the same tool that Security uses for CarlAlert, but they are separate systems. You need to configure TechAlert notifications separately from CarlAlert.
How do I sign up or edit my contact information?
- Visit the TechAlert portal page, hosted by Everbridge.
- Click Sign in with SSO credentials and sign in with your Carleton username and password.
- NOTE: if you’re already signed into other Carleton pages it may take you to your portal page directly.
- Configure the email and phone numbers for alerts:
- In the My Profile section, click Edit.
- In the Here’s how to contact me area, enter phone numbers where you would like to be notified.
You’re automatically subscribed to receive notifications at your Carleton email address. - NOTE: Email should always be your Carleton email. Cell and Personal Cell are interchangeable. Personal email is optional.
- Click Save.
How do I unsubscribe from TechAlerts?
- To unsubscribe from email, click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message.
- To unsubscribe from text messages, reply STOP.
How do I re-subscribe to TechAlerts?
- Re-subscribe to email by visiting the Everbridge resubscribe link and entering your email address.
- 2. Re-subscribe to text messages by replying RESUME.
