When working for an academic or administrative department, a student worker will often need access to the departmental COLLAB folder and printing budget.  Permissions to access COLLAB and departmental printing will either be tied directly to the student’s Carleton account, or a separate student worker account, which is their regular account with a stu_ prefix.  These accounts (and permissions) are generally created automatically based on the student’s work assignment.  Requests for additional account access (Colleague, OnBase), password resets (for new and returning student workers), and general troubleshooting can be handled by contacting the ITS Helpdesk.

Getting Started

  • If you are unsure whether a student will need to use their standard account or a stu_account, contact the ITS Helpdesk at x5999.
  • Students who use their standard account will automatically have access to departmental COLLAB folders and printing on the first day of their work assignment.
  • Students who use a stu_ account in will automatically have access to departmental COLLAB folders and printing on the first day, but should call the ITS Helpdesk at x5999 on the first day of their work assignment to have their stu_ account password reset.
