Erica Johnson

Erica Johnson

Erica joined Carleton and the EIS team in February as the Workday Testing Lead. She’s been busy helping the Student functional workstream leads develop their test scenarios and coordinating end-to-end testing. This is an intensive testing phase in which the entire academic year is squished into 5-8 weeks to make sure the various business processes, tasks, security, reports, and integrations are working and are configured to suit Carleton’s needs. In addition, she’s been helping various teams prepare for, and test, Workday’s twice-a-year new version releases.

She grew up in Minnesota and has a B.A. degree in International Studies from the University of Evansville in Evansville, Indiana. Before joining Carleton, she taught English in Japan for several years and then took a software QA position near Madison, WI at the electronic medical record company Epic. She returned to Minnesota, and continued in the software testing field doing manual and automated testing at the 3rd-party logistics company C.H. Robinson.

Erica enjoys mountain biking, learning languages (in addition to Japanese, she’s working on Spanish and Polish now), and teaching herself watercolor painting.
