
Aries Qualey
Aries is taking over as the Client Support Specialist at the ITS Helpdesk. She provides frontline technology support for staff and faculty and assists in managing the student workforce at the ITS Helpdesk. Aries worked at Minnesota State University Moorhead as an Instructional Technologist shortly after graduating with a degree in Computer Science. She has recently returned from industry where she provided on-call support for Doosan-Bobcat dealerships and customers.
Aries lives in Northfield. She’s a music lover and spends her free time practicing guitar, reading, looking for concert tickets, and working on her writing and art. For the past few years, Aries has volunteered for the Dakota Nights astronomy event in Medora, ND and harbors an excitement for all things relating to the cosmos.

Maggie Heeschen
Maggie joins the ITS team as the new Technical Communications Specialist. She manages various communications initiatives, including the ITS Update, Annual Report, documentation, and knowledge management. She has worked as a Technical Writing Intern at the Metropolitan Council and a Public Humanities Fellow at the University of Minnesota, where she recently earned her PhD in English with a focus on medieval literature.
Maggie lives in Northfield with her husband and two cats. She enjoys spending time outdoors, collaborative storytelling, and working with her hands.

Roo Case
Roo is the new Helpdesk fifth-year Assistant Hardware Asset Manager. He will assist Locke Perkins with new faculty and staff computer deployments. He graduates from Carleton in June with a double major in Computer Science and Dance and a minor in European Studies. He has worked at the Helpdesk since fall of his freshman year and is thrilled to be able to stick around a little longer. During his summers, Roo has worked at Adventures in Cardboard, RBC Wealth Management, and Boston Scientific.
Outside of IT, Roo is an avid Morris dancer, geocacher, soccer fanatic, reader, and film photographer. He often volunteers for the government-sponsored German student exchange program he participated in as a high schooler and choreographs in the Twin Cities.

Kieran Barker
Kieran joins ITS as the Educational Associate for the new Academic AI Initiatives program where he will work closely with both ITS and the Director of Academic AI Initiatives (George Cusack). He assists the AI Core Team in exploring and evaluating new AI technologies and supports faculty and students in their own work with AI. He graduates from Carleton this year with a major in Cognitive Science and a minor in Philosophy. At Carleton, he worked as a Student Departmental Adviser for the Cognitive Science program and as a Student Research Partner for Dr. Jay McKinney.
Kieran is an avid reader—and occasional writer—of philosophy, an amateur pianist, and a lover of good stationery. He is currently trying to become a better cook.
