When technical disruptions occur, remember that you can find instant answers on ITS’ Outages page. Here, you can find real-time updates about down services and when they are resolved. Checking the Outages page first is often the fastest way to confirm a known issue and see our estimated time for a fix. By checking the Outages page first, you can stay informed on known issues without needing to wait on a response from the Helpdesk.
Note: Even if you see your problem on the Outages page, it is still good to contact the Helpdesk; this lets us track the extent of the outage and notify you directly when it’s resolved.
Major outages that affect the entire campus will also be announced through CarlAlerts, the campus-wide safety notification system. Everyone at Carleton is automatically enrolled in CarlAlerts, but you can also add personal contact information as well.
