Winter Workshop – Future Learning Technologies Group (FLTG)

FLTG presents a workshop opportunity taking place December 6-8th. Three main areas will be explored as ways to address the learning needs of our students that may fall outside of the 9 ½ week term:

  • modularization (learning modules or micro-courses situated both within and outside of “regular” courses)
  • eportfolios
  • structures that extend our classrooms through collaboration with partners outside the classroom (international, consortial, or even on-campus).

The workshop will present successful examples in each of these areas, both from Carleton and from other campuses, and will allow time for participants to develop their own particular teaching projects in consultation with faculty and staff colleagues.

Additionally, there will be opportunities to explore several different technologies and tools as part of the project planning. Lunch will be provided on December 7th and refreshments throughout. Details about workshop logistics and sign-up can be found below.
