October is National Cybersecurity Awareness Month, which is just around the corner. This year, a significant emphasis of the Security Council’s work has been developing a new cybersecurity awareness program.
The main component of this program is web-based training for all employees. This course could take as little as 10 minutes or no more than about 40 minutes based on the results of a pretest of the employee’s knowledge.
Topics include:
- Social Engineering
- Phishing
- Malware
- Working Remotely
- International Travel
- Creating a Cyber-Secure Home
While we’d like to see as many people as possible take this course in October, everyone will have until the end of the year to complete it. As we work to create a culture of cybersecurity awareness, we hope these educational opportunities will prove to be helpful and enjoyable.
