I love the phrase “it takes a village” and the sense of collaboration that it evokes. We are better off when we share responsibility, whether in support of raising children, addressing societal issues or managing ever-changing technology. I want to share a few things I’ve learned recently and the importance of supporting each other in managing and leveraging these innovations.

Last spring, we mentioned that the Carleton & St Olaf IT departments had selected a new ticketing system called TeamDynamix that will allow us to track more than just the break/fix issues that come through the Helpdesk. We’ve been working hard on getting it set up and look forward to sharing it with the campus on January 9th.

MISO, the Measuring Information Service Outcomes survey, which students, faculty, and staff have participated in every other year since 2014, is coming to campus in January of 2020. We’d like to ask everyone to participate and make your voice heard.

All classrooms in the new Anderson Hall support wireless projection. It’s fast, easy, and, under the right conditions, it frees you to walk around and teach your class without worrying about cables being close to the podium.
