The noon reboot has improved, but not completely resolved, the telephone issues. Phone calls are being sent and received successfully through the Zulu softphone and the Cisco phones (in the Sciences). The “Grandstream” phones are able to place calls, but calls are being received only via email message. We are working to restore the “ringing” of the phones before they go to voicemail. thank you for your patience. –Janet Note: email that was sent at 11am: Due to some sporadic phone issues with the Grandstream desk phones and Zulu softphones today, ITS needs to reboot the phone server. We plan to reboot the server at noon today. The server will take anywhere from 5-15 minutes to reboot and you will not be able to use your Grandstream desk phone or Zulu softphone during that time. If you have any issues after the server reboots, please contact the ITS helpdesk at X5999 or email them at helpdesk@carleton.edu. There may be a few phones that will need to be restarted after the server is up and running. You can unplug the ethernet cord in the back of the phone labeled LAN, wait 30 seconds, and plug it back into the back of the phone. Please contact me with any questions or concerns. Thank you for your patience while we fix the issue. Jeanne Blair Technology Purchasing Coordinator and Office Manager Office Phone: 507-222-4286 jblair@carleton.edu
