Authentication to many services, including gmail, was down from approximately 9:15 to 10:15am. The issue would have manifested as one of several different errors when attempting to log into any service that relied upon ‘login.carleton.edu’, including Google Apps and many other cloud services in use at Carleton. Update, 10:30am: we traced the issue to a problem with our network firewall. That problem has been repaired, and all services should now be functioning normally.
