RESOLVED – Apps / Reason weekend disruption

On Sunday morning, ITS staff responded to reports that Carleton web pages were slow to load or entirely unresponsive. Upon investigation, we found that a series of scans initiated from off-campus networks were creating significant load on our systems, crippling our ability to respond to legitimate requests. ITS blocked these attacks with a series of changes to our system firewalls, and we are continuing to monitor the issue.
