Carleton Introduces New Email System
4 June 2007With help from the campus community, ITS has spent the last year evaluating and selecting a new email and calendaring system to replace GroupWise and Academic email. We will begin the transition to the new service (called Zimbra) this summer and continue through fall term.

Zimbra Email Migration
25 May 2007The original email/calendar evaluation project has completed its work. The group’s report recommends migration to the Zimbra Collaboration Suite, and advisory committees have accepted that recommendation. A group has been formed to work on migrating all existing academic IMAP and administrative GroupWise users to Zimbra, likely finishing during Fall 2007. Some demos of the Zimbra web interface (require Flash and sound) are available.
