Traditionally, OnBase users access documents from their desktops and laptops connected to the wired Carleton network. We’ve used this type of implementation because many OnBase documents contain sensitive data both within the document itself, as well as in the associated keywords.
With the introduction of the new ‘Unity’ client, we have new opportunities available for secure OnBase access.
- OnBase using the campus wireless network
- OnBase using your Mac on campus
- OnBase using your iPad on campus
These new options are all available using a technology called ‘Citrix’. Citrix is accessed via a browser on your device. There are a few setup steps that you’ll need to do the first time you use Citrix that are outlined in this document. Once you’ve done the initial setup, access to OnBase will be quick and convenient.
