OnBase, our campus document imaging system, is delivered with a module called ‘App Enabler’. This module allows us to map OnBase documents to screens in our primary systems, like Advance and Colleague.
For our first project, we’ve partnered with the Registrar’s Office. They have a Colleague screen that displays detailed information regarding courses. With App Enabler, they could potentially right-click on the course name in Colleague (left side of screen below) and related OnBase documents will automatically open (right side of screen below). It’s an excellent way to work more efficiently and have better information at your fingertips.
With the upgrade to OnBase 13 complete, we are positioned to bring OnBase Application Enabler to the Carleton campus.
