Over the past year, we’ve rolled out a number of enhancements to the Hub. These enhancements included:
- Change to the overall look-and-feel
- Changes to a number of specific pages to make them more efficient
- Direct access to the login screen
- Removal of the initial sub-menus, placing you directly onto your main menu
So what’s next for the Hub?
Hub technologies are developed by a company called Ellucian, the vendor for our major enterprise systems. Ellucian is starting to release next-generation web pages built on a different type of technology (.NET). You’ll find these pages to be much more interactive and modern in appearance. There are currently four workflows available to us, and we are looking at feasibility and implementation plans for them. Ellucian has focused their initial attention at student workflows, and will then move on to some new functionality for employees.
Here’s a sample of the new look-and-feel, which can be customized to fit Carleton’s color scheme:
