Resolved: Public Lab Windows Printing Issue
14 December 2016Printing from Windows on refreshing computers in Public Labs and Classrooms does not work at this time. We are exploring the root cause and will update when we have an ETA for resolution. In the meantime, printing from the Macintosh does work.

[Issue] Off-campus network disruption
19 November 2016Off-campus network connections are currently very slow.

Issue: widespread service disruption
30 September 2016A hardware failure in the ITS datacenter has disrupted several services, including the Moodle archive, webhelpdesk, and a number of other applications. ITS staff are restoring the affected servers and applications now, and expect all services to be back online by 11:00am.

Issue: Google Apps Disruption
19 September 2016Google Apps services, including gmail and google drive, are down for some customers at Carleton and elsewhere.

6 September 2016A datacenter event has taken several services offline. ITS staff are aware of the issue and working on a fix. We estimate all services will be restored before 2:00pm.

8 August 2016Google drive is down for many customers worldwide. Google is working on the problem.

RESOLVED: Widespread Service Disruption
29 July 2016A server failure in the datacenter has compromised many core services, including basic network connectivity and authentication.

Resolved: Fax Server Disruption
8 July 2016The ITS fax server has experienced a critical hardware problem and is offline. At this time, no electronic faxes can be received, nor can any be sent via the fax server (which includes sending via the MFPs). ITS is working on the problem, but there is no ETA for resolution at this time. Please call the ITS Helpdesk at x5999 with questions. More information will follow as soon as possible. Update: 8/16/16 – the ITS digital fax service has been replaced by a cloud-based solution. All on-campus fax numbers should once again be working normally.

RESOLVED: Authentication Issues
29 June 2016Authentication to many services, including gmail, was down from approximately 9:15 to 10:15am.
