[Planned Outage] Moodle Upgrade on June 17th, 5:30am
15 June 2018Moodle will be upgraded starting on June 17th at 5:30am. The server will be unavailable during this 1-2 hour outage.

Moodle Archives from 2006 – 2013 to be Retired
4 June 2018ITS will be turning off all Moodle Archive server instances that were used during Academic Years 2006-07 through 2012-13. The Moodle Archive for academic year 2013-14 will be retained for one more year, and all Moodle courses taught from 2014-15 to present will remain on our primary Moodle server at https://moodle.carleton.edu until they are 5 years old. Read more for details on when and how this is happening, and how to retain your course information.

Faculty Course Resource requests on The Hub

Campus Focus Groups about The Hub and other systems
11 February 2018Like most villages, Carleton uses a robust collection of technology in order to run smoothly and efficiently. Some of these systems are ones that you likely see and interact with, such as The Hub. During winter term, the College is working with consultants to take a look at a few of the core enterprise systems that keep our campus running. Their advice will help us determine the right path for providing service to the campus in upcoming years.

Annual Cyber Security Training
13 October 2017October is National Cyber Security Awareness month and time for our annual reminder to take information security training! Since the beginning of the school year, seven threats have been identified and resolved by ITS staff. Training—and much additional information besides—is housed in the InfoSec101 course. Everyone is encouraged to take this training. Please check it out!

Issue: Major Service Disruption
22 December 2016Many servers and services are currently offline. ITS staff are investigating but we do not have an ETA at this time.

Resolved: Networking in Sayles-Hill
20 December 2016Network equipment in Sayles-Hill has failed, interrupting all network access within that building.

Planned: Print Server Maintenance
15 December 2016We need to reboot the Print server to repair an issue. All campus printing will be down for 5-15 minutes starting at 12:15pm.
