Identity Finder Hands-on Session
11 November 2016Carleton has licensed Identity Finder, a software application that scans drives that are connected to your computer, looks for information that should be considered high risk, and helps ensure that it is stored in appropriate locations in appropriate ways. As we begin our move to cloud file storage, it’s an optimal time to use Identity Finder to scan your drives and do a bit of cleanup.
Whether you’re new to Identity Finder, rusty and want to brush up on your skills, or simply want to learn some advanced techniques, we’re offering a hands on session for you to spend some time focusing on file security.

New Functionality Added to OnBase

We have recently licensed and implemented a new feature in OnBase called Electronic Document Management (EDM) Services. EDM provides the ability to store Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files in OnBase. An event to demonstrate the features of EDM services is being held on Thursday, May 5th at 2:00 in Sayles-Hill room 251. Please mark your calendars. -

Carleton has a diverse and rich family of enterprise applications, ranging from large multi-purpose ERP applications like Colleague to specialized enterprise applications like Advance to robust document imaging applications like OnBase. This fall, we introduce a new member to that family of applications, Salesforce CRM.

Advisee Folders Go Electronic
5 October 2015Advisers have traditionally used paper folders, distributed by the Dean of the College office, to review and manage advisee documents. This past summer, a new solution was implemented to distribute folders to advisers electronically through OnBase.

Ellucian eCommunities
5 October 2015We have a number of Ellucian software applications at Carleton, including our two largest enterprise applications: Colleague and Advance. Recently, Ellucian rolled out a new web site for clients that enables us to get up-to-date information regarding current and upcoming Ellucian products. This new web site is called ‘Ellucian eCommunities’, and is available to all Colleague and Advance users on campus.

The ITS Enterprise Systems Advisory Group (ESAG) has formed a new campus task force to investigate how Carleton can better meet student expectations about gender identity in our systems of record. This is specifically important to individuals whose gender identity may not be reflected by their current medical and/or legal sex.
