Zoom whiteboard

Anticipating Google’s decision to retire its whiteboard (Jamboard) in October 2024, Carleton’s Academic Technology staff and interested faculty have started evaluating several digital collaborative whiteboard alternatives. These have included tools such as LucidSpark, Miro, Mural, Exalidraw, and Zoom.

We recommend the Zoom Whiteboard as a temporary Jamboard replacement, pending the outcome of the evaluation.

You do not need to launch a Zoom meeting to use its whiteboard feature. It can be created, manipulated, and shared without starting a Zoom meeting. Zoom’s whiteboard is robust.
