Zoom’s Waiting Room feature is an excellent privacy tool. It lets you see who is coming into your meeting before you admit them.
Because Zoom adds new features on a regular basis, it’s a good idea to check for updates often (every week or two). The enhancement of the Waiting Room was added in one of those updates.
The Waiting Room includes a Messaging Feature. This allows the host to send a note to those in the Waiting Room before they enter.
This can be especially useful if you’re using the same Zoom meeting for office hours, or for back-to-back meetings. You can tell your Waiting Room occupants that you’re there, and you’ll be with them soon.
