Passive viewing of video content is not how students learn best. Students need to be actively engaged by video lessons.  In addition, intentionally signaling the most important points within your videos helps students focus on the key objectives.

This week, Dann shares two new videos, Active Learning with a Passive Medium and Signaling Strategies, which can help faculty keep students more engaged and better focused.

The “Perfect Instructional Video” webpage offers additional tutorials and resources for those interested in learning more.
