The CTO Group works across all of the ITS divisions dealing with administration, security and leadership.
Janet Scannell is the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and is responsible for the strategic direction and operational support of Carleton’s technology infrastructure. She manages the ITS department which has a staff of 40 grouped in 5 teams: Academic Technology(AT), Enterprise Information Services (EIS), Systems & Infrastructure (SIG), Technology Support (TSG), and Web Services (WSG).
Jeanne Blair is the Technology Purchasing Coordinator & Office Manager for the ITS Department. She manages all the hardware and software purchasing for the college, supports all of the phones on campus, and coordinates the day-to-day operations of the department.
Kendall George is the Information Security Officer for the Carleton and St. Olaf Colleges in Northfield, Minnesota. Kendall is responsible for technical security, campus firewall, and vulnerability management. He also responds to phishing reports, security relating to email, management of anti-virus, and campus security training and policies.
Matt Klooster oversees Carleton’s campus change management strategy as the Senior Project Manager for Workday implementation. He is responsible for collecting feedback about the implementation, responding to project needs, coordinating meetings among campus project leaders and faculty, staff, and student stakeholders, collaborating on the development of project related communications, and managing the project website. He is currently focusing most of his effort on the student phase of the project.
