Grounded in peer learning and national context, Carleton’s KPIs help us evaluate institutional health within the broader landscape of higher education. By examining key areas such as admissions, student retention and outcomes, faculty and staff support, and financial sustainability, these metrics provide vital insight into the long-term impact of our strategic priorities across planning cycles. Data is compiled from the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the Common Data Set (CDS), and other national higher education benchmarks.
The annual update occurs during the summer, incorporating data from the most recently IPEDS release and Common Data Set (CDS) reporting cycle.
