The Block is Back event on October 3 celebrated the end of construction and the opening of several new buildings on Union and 2nd Street, bringing the campus together to explore this revitalized corner of Carleton.
ISL joined in the festivities by hosting a table at Watanabe House (Atlas), where we served global teas alongside free popcorn and cotton candy. At the ISL office, students could also pick up ISL magnetic stickers as they moved through the Block.
What made the event especially memorable was the lively collaboration among all the houses and offices in the area, together offering fresh food, music, and special treats that drew students through each new space. The shared effort created a warm, festive atmosphere and offered a fun, community-centered way for students to discover the newly opened buildings and reconnect with one another.
