On January 16, ISL and SHAC had a discussion on health care and insurance for international students in Anderson 036. This session focused on helping international students who were less familiar with the American insurance system to figure out what they can do with their yearly Wellfleet college student medical insurance. We all went to Wellfleet’s website to see what exactly was included in the insurance and the presenters kindly explained the most common ones and confusing ones.
Generally, if you have any medical problems, SHAC would be your first choice to go to and SHAC would give you advice on further medical instructions and how to use your insurance. Wellfleet insurance actually covers a well-rounded list of potential medical treatments we could encounter in our four years of college. It is noteworthy to sign in your own account and check what to do with them!
