The IDE Plan Steering Group had its first meeting on Thursday, November 5th. Discussion centered on the immediate task of identifying and vetting potential consultants to help the committee design its study, develop goals, and engage in research and outreach for the overall planning process.
The general timeline is approximately one year, with the bulk of the information gathering and community input coming during Winter and Spring term, followed by time and opportunity for a new president and members of the community to provide additional input on the emerging elements of the plan.
A smaller working group was tasked with the initial information gathering on potential consultants at the end of the meeting.
