Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind
by Shunryu Suzuki
first we sit as still as able, sensai says sweep your mind.
next is adorables falling swoop low, under curve, accepting weight surrounding bones ~
bones we call our own. but are they?
are these enzymes our belongings only baggage?
fall into gravity, the ground….. the ground is strong.
in beginnings, at the end, zen circle stays empty.
sweep your life. I’ll sweep mine.
no more oxen. oxherd gone.
zen mindset. now go, go.
let them have it child
it’s their turn.
circle empty. shh shhhhhhhh
