I loved my time as a Carleton student, and I remain convinced, even after 45 years teaching at prestigious schools and law schools, that I was incredibly lucky to have gone there. It changed my life, for the better. The liberal arts education I received, along with the egalitarian and inclusive community I experienced and participated in, gave me a vision of how to live a life as a responsible and thoughtful human being.
