At the core of any event the QuestBridge chapter puts on is the mission to support low-income, first-generation or otherwise underrepresented students. That is who serve and who we market to. In that sense, there is a near immediacy between all our events and the IDE goals of representation. The roller skating event offered a social space for students who might lack that on campus. That the setting was at a pay-gated place (as in it cost to participate) also meant that for many students this was the first time ever going to a roller skating rink.
